Ch, Ch, Changes

4 Sep

What ho everyone,

Just some quick news from the Brighton Improv Temple.

We have decided to concentrate on Thursdays as performance nights and have Sundays dedicated for workshops.

This means for the foreseeable future there will be no performances on Sunday nights.

We will of course let you know if this changes.

But there will be shows EVERY Thursday at 8pm and workshops for the first three Sundays of each month between 4 and 6pm.

Look forward to seeing you down at the Brighton Improv Temple soon.

Thanks

Simon

Week 4 – Existential Pants

31 Aug

Thanks to everyone who came to the fantastic show last Thursday performed by the marvelous Existential Pants.  It was a really good musical improv show.

My favourite moments:

The coke dealing Sesame Street puppet bent on world dominatation.

Fixing tractors, in a very special way.

And the septic leg blues.

This Thurday The Fish return!  8pm at The Brighton Improv Temple.

And it’s great news as we have extended our ALL FREE show policy to the whole of  September.

Also Sunday workshops and performances start this week.  Take a look at what have on offer at:  The Brighton Improv Temple

Week three – The 3 man show

24 Aug

Thanks to everyone who came to another bumper A Fish Called Improv show last Thursday.  Only 3 of us performed (Simon, Simon and Jos) but great fun was had by all.  I loved compering and perform to such a lively audience.

My favourite moments:

Two angry but flirtatious Brian Blesseds in the the Roller Coaster of emotion.

The first date with the man with the pretty ugly nipples.

The Haddock who wants a stool to sit down on because his fins are tired: in the boring game.

This Thurday The Fish take a well earned rest but Brighton Improv presents the marvellous

Existential Pants

who is be producing their very own brand of improv music and comedy all FREE of charge from 8pm at The Brighton Improv Temple.

Sunday workshops and performances also take a break but will be back in September.  Watch out for more news coming soon:  The Brighton Improv Temple

Week 2 – Improv and out!

16 Aug

Thanks to everyone who came to the Brighton Improv Temple show on Thursday performed by A Fish Called Improv and to the free-for-all Sunday show yesterday (Thanks to Thea, Rachel, Andy and first timer Natasha for being our experiment lab performers).  Great stuff!

Favourite moments last Thursday:

Using real babys to make jelly baby sweets and jelly baby shower gell in the local drama

“I’m not a waiter, I’m a Panda!”  A case of mistaken identity in the Boring Game.

The compelling need of one bored soldier to shoot something even if that happens to be his comrade in arms in this weeks alphabet.

Get more FREE improv at the Brighton Improv Temple this Thursday at 8pm with A Fish Called Improv and on Sunday from 7pm in our  ‘Whose Line’ style show.

Performers workshop – £5 – 4-6pm:  This week the topic is Stillness.
